What annoys you the most in modern cars?

exexec · 61-69, C
Too many gadgets and extras that I don't want and that run up the cost. I'm happy with my 2003 Chevy pickup. My wife enjoys her new vehicle.
Everything being layers deep on a touchscreen. Nothing like forcing you to take your eyes off the road

Computers, and power everything
HumanEarth · 56-60, M
Same for me
Tetsuya · 51-55, M
giant touchscreens, with no buttons or knobs
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
Running costs.
Fuel is overpriced
Insurance companies charging too much
What used to be basics now being charged for as optional extras
Satnav that isn't updated regularly
maskedbandit · 61-69, M
That it takes fossil fuels to charge them but yet they want to get rid of fossil fuels. I guess soon we will all be walking again, which is a good thing. 🤷‍♂️ 😅
acpguy · C
@maskedbandit I would rather walk than have an EV. Probably wouldn't have much luck getting it charged any way especially where we live up north.
acpguy · C
Very few manual transmissions, pancake engines and piece of shit EV or Hybrids.
Tetsuya · 51-55, M
@acpguy Pancake engines? like boxers or do you mean something else?
acpguy · C
@Tetsuya What you call boxer engines were referred to as pancake engines since the VW came to the USA. Sorry for your mechanical ignorance or because you were educated by liberals that like their VW, Subaru and other junk cars.
novaguy2u · 70-79, M
Too much electronic gadgetry that most people won't bother to use.

They come with 50+ recalls and the dealership mechanics aren't trained to fix half the issues
HumanEarth · 56-60, M
Computers and all the power unless junk. We didn't need the shit in 1984 and older. Why now
Raaii · 22-25, F
