My hood wont pop open

The latch in the car that you pull, wont pop it at all..no click nothing. Is there any trick or do I need to take it to mechanic?

@SinlessOnslaught Oh it didnt really need oil change, I just need to add a quart oil, which will tomorrow ☀️
