My friend had a later model Toronado and wow! Plush ride. Ironed out all the bumps. Barcalounger grade seats. Plenty of interior lights and toys. And of course every seat had an ashtray. @Elizabeth28

Yeah - the Chevelle came around just before that fuel crisis in the 70's which brought about massive changes - the focus then was pure, raw power, safety was someone else's concern!! Also like the Shelby Cobra - and the original AC Cobra - which is basically exactly the same car, AC just being British made prior to making the shift across to Yanke land!! 😁@Synyster

Sad when manufacturers stop making gas engines.

I owned one. But at best it got 23 on the highway and required premium fuel. But trends come and go. Buyers remorse might bite all these car companies in the ass if they invest too much into electric @Synyster

I know the gas guzzlers aren’t really in keeping with the drive for clean air and fuel efficiency, however they do have a lot of character and for petrol heads, it’s difficult to not love the older vehicles. @SW-User
