Ford, GM or Chrysler? [I Fast Cars]

rckt148 · 61-69, M
Love them all ,though I have owned more Mustangs then any other car .
But I went through a Dodge phase ,the Magnum ,the Charger ,Challenger ,Super Bee ,
Satellite ,Love Ford trucks and vans ,but I love a Chevy /GMC step side too .
I am a mechanic by trade ,or I was before my back crapped out and I went into construction (I know right ? less bending over in construction )
So I have rebuilt them all .
When you can fix almost anything ,is it really more then just a preference to a body style ? all of them eventually break down .
I have towed a Chevy with a Ford and a Ford with a Chevy ,,
A Detroit with a Cummings ,a Cummings with a Detroit ,,but I rarely towed a Cat
To bad they don't make cars ,,,
I see ya have an ax in you're pic ,,I jam a little too .

@SW-User I played a Les Paul Sunburst for years ,that 16 lbs on my neck actually deviated my neck ,,for a while I died with head aches ,but thats when I went to acoustic electric ,an Ovation ,then a Balboa ,then I seen Garth playing a Tak and had to have one ,played one every since .(my Grandson bought me the Strat )
I have had people come into a club and I am playing a country song ,,
And I hear one say "I want some rock ,I aint into no country tonight "
Grab my dead ringer and throw it in the sound hole ,hit my pedals ..
How bout some Rush ,AC/DC or Winger ,Damn Yankee's ,,I don't just play country .
But most of my fans did prefer the southern rock as opposed to metal
Thats why they came to hear me .but I do vocal impersonations too ,so that usually got them ,when I hit the notes they didn't expect to come out of me .
Most of my Equipment is Peavey (Black widows rock ).I had a Marshal Stack a pair 4/12's
Now my guitar amp is a Bass Crate ,,I also have a Peavey bass amp I use sometimes for a stereo effect ,but my mixer is true stereo ,so usually I just mic my amp into the mixer ,,if I need that much power ,,but have not used most of my stuff in like 3 years .I run the mixer through a Crate amp ,,sing and play through it .It gets plenty loud .
Crate has actually surprised me .4 of them ,,and a mixer ,I think it would blow you away how loud and clean they are .
Eddie said he controlled the voltage to a Marshal stack to get his sound .
I guess we all have our thing ,mine is singing through a digital delay .
I feel naked without one ,it helps me hold a note just a tad bit longer .

@rckt148 I never could play & sing. I usually stayed on the left side of the stage, close to the wings. I wasn't flamboyant or a showoff, I didn't usually come to center stage even 2 solo.

@SW-User I am not a jump around ,kick amps over front man either .and I have to sing so the mic stand keeps me anchored there for the most part .(one of the reasons I never went wireless ,I know I am not one of those guys )
But during a lead solo ,I may do a dueling guitars thing ,toss my hair around a bit .
But I am not a flamboyant front man myself .
Most are there to hear me sing ,and I put my all into that .
I have been sued for not being able to preform the next night ,for going after to many high notes on Friday ,and couldn't even talk Saturday with another show to do .
I beat the suit ,but I quit doing concert type shows after that ,,no more contracts .
I could make as much money in a large club alone ,and no manager to pay ,band to split with ,I charge $400.00 for 3 hours ,I am there 4 ,,I get tips ,all food and drinks are free ,if someone buys me a drink ,I get that money too ,and I have made 400 -500 a night in tips ,,
A lot of touring bands seem to make a lot of money ,but they are on the road for months ,they spend as much as they make ,,many get ripped off by management ..
I got where I just preferred the smaller events ..
I got hired every year by companies like the PBA associations ,thousands of cops ,
Or ITT Tech ,they put on huge outdoor events ,hired me every year to open for other acts ,
I actually made more money as a Christian artist ,selling my tapes and shirts .they pass buckets and take up "Love Offerings " ,I was only allowed to pay myself 10% out of that ,then my manager ,the rest stayed in the ministry ,so I could support other charities and ministries .I was taken very good care of doing that .
I hired someone to oversee it all ,accountants ,taxes (even though most is tax exempt you have to prove where the money goes )
I can say ,,when you do it for God ,and not the money ,you see miracles all the time .
The fact I could do what I was doing was only by the grace of God .
My doctors look at my MRI's and ask me how I am still able to walk ..
And I can actually ,still hang sheet rock ,,but not for 8 hours a day .
I only take 30 mg of oxycodone a day ,40 mg of Baclefin ,the rest of my meds are for my heart ,3 heart attacks ,that will slow you down for sure .
A spur in my right shoulder ,and a heart attack did what a bullet couldn't do .
Made me get my priorities in order ,and quick .

Depends on which decades we are talking. Currently, I would go with GM.

I think it's a personal preference thing. In my case I have never had any luck with Fords either vehicles I've owned or had to deal with in my years of employment. Lately I've been a GM man but just bought a Ram truck.

1920’s Ford Model T with modern technology. I love that adorable old-fashions looked! But would prefer an automatic

It doesn’t matter as long as you take it down to the FORD House and get one of those blue ovals put on it.

I like Ford trucks but I think the Dodge Ram is the one to have now.
Ford. Although my next truck will be a GM.

Cars or trucks?
