Do you trust a fly-by-wire car or one that has proper mechanical controls and functions?

If the computer says 'no' on a modern car then it won't go even if it has mechanical/direct control parts. I like some driving aids, but I am 'nannied' by over-sensitive sensors sometimes and the brakes come on because a disabled person is riding along the pavement (sidewalk) slowly and the car senses that they are on the carriageway. It can be frightening.

@FreddieUK I once had the brakes jam on when a couple of crows flew up in front of the car. Until then I had no idea the car could do that..Scared the bejeezusout of me..😷
