Little annoys me more than seeing a cherry ass classic with candy paint being bounced until it is ruined

Pulled my Corvette into the diner parking lot last week and parked right next to a nearly identical one. Both were Monterey Metallic Red, which is not that common a color as it cost more. Except the other one was faded and grungy, and had a worn cloth convertible top while mine has the tri-top. As I was getting out this much younger guy walks up, says "that's mine, there. Do you keep yours in a garage?" "Yes, indeed. Mine's a 2006, what is yours?" "2008," he says. A little pride and care go a long way.
