@NativePortlander1970 Its just floating gears and my car made it 90k miles with no issues in the transmission.
@Silentpleasure Ask @Lilnonames why it's not recommended, she's a certified mechanic and can tell you exactly why.

@Silentpleasure i learn that skill as well. But, most often drove normally. My last manual was a 1969Triumph TR6, although in the 1980s i partially restored a 1963 Porsche 356B

@ThickMadame Not into strippi g gears but I did have an '84 Dodge Colt with a high low shifter that I mistakenly through into low while passing a drunk at night. The engine redlined and i shot by him so fast! Torque must have been crazy. Never repeated it. Thing ate up clutches in no time.
