Trailers have been shipped like this for many years now. I've always heard that trains use a fraction of the fuel that trucks do, pound for pound.

@ineedadrink Yes I know, but haven’t seen an entire train load of them without other types of things that they are also hauling.

@cherokeepatti Ah, I see.

We like getting stuck for a train, it's actually somehow calming to watch them go by. My son used to call JB Hunt "Jabba the Hunt"... Actually, we all still do... Except him... 🙂

@BrewCityArtist I was just happy that there were no chemical tankers. That would raise some anxiety.

What ever happened to the idea Elon Musk had of having those electric drones delivering packages?
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Thevy29 the merchandise is shipped to warehouses and will probably go by drones from there.

We've all got train brain right now

I'm thinking trains will make a comeback.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Azlotto Yeah but they better make the rails and trains safer. This is not raising confidence at all.
Azlotto · M
@cherokeepatti They pulled all the rails around here in the early 90s. If they rebuild the tracks, I'm pretty sure they'll be up to safety codes.
