I think that Some cars and motorcycles should be outlawed

When they pass you by in the city their engines are so loud, it disrupts peaceful walking and even driving.

It’s as by as walking and suddenly hearing shrill screams for no reason. Ah…
Now I know… it’s like a baby crying for attention. Cars and motorcycles are fine but they are loud crying babies saying look at me, I look like “The Fonz”

Even a rock star yells and screams in the right environment!

The earsplitting roar of a Harley. Tuners without mufflers, burnouts at a light.

Quiet neighborhoods and after hours are inappropriate for stunt driving or excessive noise.

Take it to the drag strip or track.

I used to live in an apartment block on the 4th floor under the landing path of jets and they were quieter than the motor cycles that would do laps of the block all night. Then there's a guy who lives next door and his car sounds like it was tuned by a drunk 12yo and he has to rev it up at 5 am for 15 minutes as it keeps stalling. Can't wait for them all to go electric lol

@SW-User I think they should be “punished” with an electric vehicle, and sent to therapy for whatever is making them want to cry out for attention

@Mindful I don't know why they can't just have a quiet vehicle and then listen to audio of loud noises through an iPod while they drive. Maybe the fun is in torturing others?

It is illegal here to have a vehicle to loud. My friend has got pulled over for it

There are laws here in limited decibels for vehicles. Yet there's still a bunch of ear drum piercing chicken chasing little 2 stroke bikes and gangs of boy racers. I love cars and have been far from perfect though. Just never needed to drive or ride anything stupidly noisy. Powerful but I've preferred the exhaust attached.

@Perry1968 thank you for making a positive choice to not disturb the peace of others

I know exactly how you feel. I feel the same way about cars that are too wide, and as a walker, I can't see the road to cross it unless I am almost in the middle of it.

I am against side road parking on main streets.

@Bri89 interesting. Nears are too wide to see which way to go? I know some SUVs are too tall to see signage, like an 18wheeler or moving truck but if I slow down and out a nice gap between myself and the other car I might be able to see lights etc.
