In the united States, what's your price for gas?

@saragoodtimes Mine is a plug-in hybrid, I get about 25 miles per charge. I have a charger in my garage and full charged in 2 hours. In covid days, I rarely drive much more that 26 miles round trip, so I use essentially no gas.

@samueltyler2 no thank you give me gas. I'd get home and forget to plug it in.

@saragoodtimes That has happened. That is why I liked the idea of the plug in hybrid. If I run out of charge, the gas engine takes over, and whenever I stop accelerating, the battery recharges itself.

@samueltyler2 what does a new battery cost if you don't mind me asking

@saragoodtimes actually it is batteries, and, I have no idea. I lease a car for 3 years, so have not needed such, yet.

@saragoodtimes nothing is. My costs for maintaining the car is almost non-existent. One fear is that once more electric cars are on the road, many mechanics will be out of jobs. In Israel, they are actually experi\menting with cars that have interchangeable batteries, so that one will pull up to a gas station like site and exchange batteries, like the propane tank exchange program. It takes very little time.

@samueltyler2 and how would that work for a woman who doesn't know what a Phillips screwdriver is. Alan asked me to get him one out of the tool box but not one answered when I called Phillip

@saragoodtimes ha, ha. Why would it make a difference if a man or woman? The technicians simply drop the old batteries and install charged ones.
