The Gold Coast parks are OK. Movieworld being the best in my opinion. Expensive of course.. And nowhere near the size of Universal Studios or Disneyland in Los Angeles..Its the sort of thing you should do at least once to tick off the Bucket List. But take kids if you can. Remember, not too young or they wont make the height for the rides..😷

Yes, I like Alton Towers but it's getting so expensive, particularly the food which you have to buy if you don't want to carry a bag all day.

I love them. I'm a massive adrenaline junkie. There are several within a reasonable distance to where I live but they are expensive so I don't go very often.

Ive been to a couple here. Alton towers. But for me non theme park wise in this country was longleat. Excellent day out. You have to take a sh.tty car though because you drive through enclosures of tigers. Monkeys etc etc. Absolutely loved it. Been twice. Would go again.

@HijabaDabbaDoo It is. I used to live in Stoke on Trent. Well just outside in a pkace called Leek. So Alton towers was really close. It was a LONG time ago though. Nemesis was quite new then. So 90s.

@Perry1968 yeah Alton towers is very close to me. I think it's the best theme park in the UK from the others I've tried. The only one I haven't been to is thorpe park so Alton towers is still on top for me
Perry1968 · M
@HijabaDabbaDoo Yes Alton is definitely better than Thorpe park. Alton towers is best in the UK impo. Theme park wise anyway.

@OriginalNedKelly very lucky to afford lots of travel to see those places

No. When I was a kid, sure. Or even when the kids were kids and wanted to go. But now, I wouldn't give you 10 cents for a ticket to any of them.

I've never been but I might go to France next year just to go Disney land because everyone needs to live out their childhood at any given opportunity

@Perry1968 that sounds fun, I don't remember seeing any monkeys last time I went to the safari park, or maybe I did but they weren't as hyperactive as the ones you experienced lol. I personally love the elephants, always thought they were majestic and wise old animals

@HijabaDabbaDoo Youd LOVE it at Longleat. You drive through the monkey enclosure first. Then onto others. Tigers etc. Its AMSZING. I honest like it alot. The grounds are gigntic. Its well worth the money. Easy to chuck a mate in the boot of the car up the road too if you want to save a few quid.

@Perry1968 noted. I'll consider it as an option next time I fancy a road trip

I love the Disney waterparks!
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
Not really. I hate waiting in lines and hate hot weather. Went to the original Disneyland way back around 1959 -- don't remember much about it. :(

Not my thing, except I do like good roller coasters.
