Dreamt Patrick Muldoon circa 1991 made me question everything about my 2026 love life.
I was sewing a new pair of jeans…like creating them out of fresh denim…and tried them on for the first. It was so weird because it felt so real that I could feel the frayed edges of the waist against my skin, along with the coolness of the straight pins I still in place.
I started taking them off in what I think was a diner I was very comfortable in considering the disrobing, when down the dark brick alley that was attached to the diner was Patrick Muldoon. Reference for those who didn’t watch Saved By The Bell…
He appeared into the light, said my name, and asked me what I was doing. I blushed and pulled my jeans back up while my waitress friends at the dinner busted out laughing. I think I died of embarrassment because I don’t remember anything else from that segment other than me later on walking down that dark alleyway to put one of my books on a shelf since I was storing all my things in that alleyway, and running back to the bright dinner afterwards like something evil was lurking in the darkness.
But later on I was in a shopping mall with my boyfriend, who I have no idea who he was…only that he was overweight and focused on his mother walking with him…while I was walking with Patrick. I was emotionally heavy, which he picked up on, and made us break away from my boyfriend and his mother to sit on a beanbag couch that was offered for sitting in the middle of the mall. We were a seated a respectable distance from each other when I asked him, “Is it awful that I’d rather be here with you than him?” He sighed and gave me a “I’m sorry you’re in that place in the relationship” look.
…and then I woke up.
It wasn’t the degree of messed up that many of my dreams are, but it was random AF, especially Patrick popping up out of nowhere. I had forgotten he passed away in April until I googled the images.
@ineedadrink The social battery’s been depleted lately. Eh, I’m happy enough. I definitely find my moments, but the heart yearns for a happier tale overall. I’m just happy to still be here.
