Has anyone been on a cruise ship?

If so is it good fun?.
I'm doing a holiday job in Spain during summer as one of the entertainment team at a hotel but one of the girls I work with was working on a cruise ship and says even though it's hard work it's also great fun, they also stop at different places most days so there allowed off the ship to explore.

I knew a couple who did some entertaining on some cruise ships. He played several instruments, and she was a singer. Their major complaint was the room they got was an inside cabin. No windows, one door. They didn't care for it, and they said the longer you were on the ship, it just seemed to only get worse.

My thoughts are that the rooms for sleeping.

I did an alaskan cruise. it was alright... I'm not really a cruise person, I think.
