What is your definition of a 'holiday'?

To me, a 'holiday' is as simple as a single day off work where I have the day totally to myself with no plans, no demands, no requirements to appeal to anyone else. Selfish yes, but sometimes we need to be selfish to restore even a small semblence of self-worth without seeking subs, likes, or validation from anyone else (children, romantic partners, friends, family, workmates, bosses, general public, fundy religious politicians, etc.).

Beautiful countryside. I want to walk for miles, enjoy nature and forage for some wild foods. I will then come home and make some dandelion fritters or something else that's yummy and eat them with the family whilst we watch a nice film.

A holiday is where one doesnt have to go to work. But also doesnt have all those routine tasks to perform outside work. Ask any wife who cooks, manages kids and the house..😷
