Why do people say Christians can't be liberal?

Heard this thing from multiple people so I'm just wondering.

I'm very liberal and I'm also very Christian too. I'm just wondering why a lot of people think Jose two things aren't compatible.

Christianity is all about fear, hate, and feeling superior to others. Jesus was certainly a Liberal, he loved everyone, but I've never in my 67 years noticed that Christianity has anything to do with the teachings of Jesus.

@hunkalove I'm not as old as you, and I'm not a Christian either, but I've met many Christians who are all about love, kindness, and peace. I'm sorry you haven't!

@hunkalove Many Christians are backwards, but that doesn't mean the religion is about hatred.
