@ChickenInvasion: We have all said at one time or another, " What stupid person made that rule " ? Minority means just that. Less than the majority. That is the downside of Democracy. Majority rules. And as you say, smart people are in the minority? It's the world we live in.

This is a question I constantly come back to because I feel it's a flaw with democracy.

So I know I'm kinda all over this place in this thread.. but please don't take me too seriously.. I'm kinda just thinking over it myself.

And I think we kinda agree that this can be.. not always is, but can be... A flaw.. right?

And I guess what im leading into is... Is there a better world we could build? Or is this just most realistic way we could do it?

@ChickenInvasion: Democracy is flawed. This world is as far as we have progressed thus for. Not very intelligent, is it ? Utopia is not available. The thing to ask is, who got us here? The smart Politicians or the stupid masses who voted them in? Remember, the Politicians rely on the stupidity of the masses to be elected.

I mean ur kinda digressing from what the best political system could be into a discussion about what moves and changes the world... But...

Both have.. hard working smart people have been held back by terrible leaders . And genius leaders have been stopped by idiot masses.

It's a collective... It's a ... A work in progress always. The smartest amount us rarely get recognized until after we die, but the masses would never change without those people....in politics or outside of them...
