I don't want to grow old. How do you get over getting old?

bijouxbroussard · F Best Comment
Die young. Understand that those are the only two options . And then get over it. Take good care of yourself so you will be the healthiest older person possible, but realise that time still marches on. 👵🏽👴🏽

You get over it by telling yourself there is nothing wrong with it. It's privilege to age, something to take advantage of.

This isn't the time for you to be worried about it either! You're young. Take good care of yourself and enjoy!

@Robinsinwinter: aww, that's nice. Thank you! ❤️
SW-User
@Farah: Getting old is not that bad, people want to know what you bring to the table, rather than assessing you just on appearance. I don't mind being asked what I think. 😊

When I was your age I never dreamed I'd ever be my age but here I am, my age. It's ok, really.
Rambler · 61-69, M
You keep telling yourself that only the people older than you are really old.
ReaperofTime · 46-50, M
We all age. But old is all a mental state
Doomflower · 36-40, M
Die, I think.
THEBIGM · 56-60, M

Don't subscribe to AARP Magazine, take yourself off all mailing lists that advertise canes, walkers, bedroom potties, trusses etc because when you reach a certain age, you are deluged with these extremely depressing magazines and advertisements reminding you that your old age and declining health is big business to many. You being fine benefits no one but you. Don't join groups that segregate seniors; socialize with all ages as well as you can. Stay as healthy as you can, get fresh air and exercise and eat healthy most of the time. Keep up your dental work and dental health. Accept that being old definitely beats the alternative.

It comes with age. Lol

I mean the alternative is death at a young age sooooo...

Find a hubby with deteriorating eyesight so he won't notice the difference. 😜
Farah · 31-35, F
@Classified: I don't care about what my husband or any other man would think of me or my body once I grow old, I'm concerned about myself for myself. No body else!
Classified · M
@Farah: Oh... well... euhm... then I don't know.
I thought I had a good idea 😐.
Graciebaby · F
Top yourself early n give us all a break, so we don't have to hear u whinging about getting old.
whats wrong with getting old ?
oh are you living just to look sexy ?
katielass · F
@lllys: You know a lot of us older women are still sexy. I get hit on a lot by young men, and older men, too. It's the genes and how you take care of yourself. Stay out of the sun.
@katielass: if people can look sexy still with wrikles and a saggy skin then whats wrong with getting old
Under1 · 26-30, F
