Why aren't more people vegan?

I've recently become a vegan and my body feels much better, it's much better for the environment, and it shows the horrible meat corporations we don't need them.

Because being vegan would result in me dying.

@Fernie: Straight talk, I need to eat a LOT of food. Continuous starvation as a child has fucked up my metabolic rate. I can eat a full meal and be hungry hours later because I burn calories so quickly. It's why I seem to be unable to gain weigh no matter how much I eat. Going vegan would be like trying to run your entire house's electricity on a few AA batteries.

@BlueMetalChick: Your body needs what it needs. At least vegetarians have a huge selection of foods which has worked for me for decades... but YOU would starve to death!!!
