Homelessness is a multi layered issue. Some of it stems from lack of affordable housing which may be the result of low employment rates. Some of it is due to mental illness. Since governments have released former mental health patients are now on the street many of whom are incapable of looking after themselves in a 'normal' home. Others are there as a result of addictions and there are homeless by choice. Sounds weird but I know the police were looking for a homeless guy's daughter. The homeless guy had died in a shelter and left his daughter 1/2 a million dollars. He was not an addict or mentally unstable. He just preferred to be on the street.
@hippyjoe1955 can’t imagine living on street in Canadian winter 🥶 by choice

@mysteryespresso Lots of people do it. I have heard more than one brag about how tough it makes them. My grandmother came up from Oklahoma in 1904. She was a young girl at the time and she remembers their first winter. It was 45 below and they were living in a tent miles from any other human beings.

Homelessness has been caused by consecutive governments choosing not to provide enough housing.
Look at how much governments spend on unnecessary infrastructure. Footbridges, stadiums,
billions of dollars.
Stop with the extraneous items and channel all that money and effort into providing the housing required.
Look at how many multi-storey government buildings sit empty.
Governments chose not to fix the homeless problem.

Jesus was homeless and he couldn't fix his own problem.

Not a manufacturing problem at all.
And not because it's necessary to build more homes.
Just get rid of rent and everyone and every one is homed.

@Thrust Hey, if it's up to me I would call for a constitutional convention.
This is not a democracy...
Even Benjamin Franklin was afraid of Monarchy's.
And I'm obviously not alone it that, if you haven't been listening to news, on no Kings day!

No Kings!

Totally! People make money because they work jobs manufacturing goods and services for people… who earn money by working jobs, creating goods and services for people… do you see the loop?
But banks only create money for property owners and assets and stuff like that. They never create money for people. So of course poverty is manufactured it’s built into the system.

@Ferise1 Why is it that people are busy bashing trump, Biden, left, right, immigrants taking their jobs forgetting it’s all manufactured, If your government really wanted they could close borders in A DAY, they could use all that money to build HOUSING FOR ALL.
