Do you think adults should plan and consider

The irresponsible ones, hell no 4 them. How do responsible ones know they are it and do they know yet that no one else can do it better? Maybe by sheer instinct. Maybe most teachers or most parents already do it best. Its a serious topic.

We should all plan. Do our best and teach our children the same.

If the state wants me to be independent in retirement they should let me keep my super instead of claiming 40% of it when I go to collect it.

Depends whether they're scrounging chav types with no pride or morals, or decent people who, if they want it, go out and earn it.

i think if you are capable of providing for yourself, you should do so. Let the state provide for those that can not.

the bank, the state etc means other people - people with money and no concern for an individual.
