stop watching the Trump hating liberal networks and see where he wants to cut. 1st the fraud and abuse in the system, 2nd illegal immigrants, 3rd able bodied people need to work in order to keep benefits. your tax dollars support the system and let the sanctuary cities and states pay for their abuse. just maybe if he gets the support it will help Americans who need it most and maybe increase payments to doctors which may lead to more accepting it and provide better care and less time to get an appointment

@saragoodtimes Just keep the faith sister.

@Kwek00 get out of the major cities and doctors refuse to accept medicaid. 90% of the doctors here don't participate. the best a hospital can do is stabilize a patient and send them to a city hospital which hurts the family of the patient trying to visit and offer comfort

@saragoodtimes Maybe reread what you said earlier:
To do these things... you need to fund institutions that look at these things. Where in Donald Trumps' plan is this even happening? Your 2nd point, that's where most of the money is going to go too (for as far as I'm aware). However, it's not going to looking in at things, it's just going to go to detaining people. Which is the same thing that is happening now. At the end of Bidens' term, congress had a bill ready that had bipartisan support in the house and the senate, for funding the judiciairy branch so that they can look into more cases and make quicker descisions... but who shot that down? Donald Trump, made a phone call to a number of republicans and that bill suddenly wasn't viable anymore. Just like now, when he's actually in office, people are being detained and shipped outside the nations borders to be detained in a foreign country without due process. Stephen Miller, perceives "due process" for the people that they detained, as loosing a war. 🤷♂
So none of these institutions that look into these things are getting financial support... but I guess when I read enough pro-Trump propaganda... I'll just become as religious about this as you do.
How are sanctuary cities abusing anything? ... But like every good Trump-narrative, you need to have a scapegoat somewhere. For Kodiac (also in this post) it's the "dead beats" (whoever those are). If you want medicaid to be accepted by more doctors... then make it easier in use. Where is the effort to do that? Well, it doesn't really excist. Just like funding the judicial branch for migration cases doesn't excist. Just like funding the IRS to make sure that everyone pays their taxes and that hole in the treasury gets filled, doesn't excist. Why doesn't it excist? Because you have an administration that is backed up by people that don't want you to have the benefit of social security, they don't want immigration from countries that don't have the right skin tone and they don't want to pay their taxes. Taxes that eventually need to support your institutions and your healthcare (should you vote for it).
But the strange thing is... even though all these people that are backing Trump have been honest about this at some point or another... that Donald isn't telling you that. And that's because Donald has a large group of people that suck up everything he says and perceives it as gospel. It's not questioned, no matter what the administration does in the real world. So yeah Sarah... you just keep the faith okay.

@Kwek00 People who came into this country without following due process, are here illegally, many of whom are engaging in crimes against our own citizens are being detained /deported. I do not care they are not getting the full raft of legal protections due a citizen. They are not entitled to the rights of a citizen.
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@BrandNewMan So you don't care that the laws are enforced... that's nice, just don't call yourself a patriot or what ever other label flatters you like "law abiding citizen". And never ever go: "it's in the constitution" when you talk to anyone, because it's clear... you don't care.
BrandNewMan · M
@Kwek00 Look .. pal .. there were laws broken in letting them into the country. Laws broken in them being here. They broke further laws commiting crimes against Americans. Are you ok w all that?
Dont get self righteous with me when you know that is true. No - I do not care.

Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@BrandNewMan Who decides if laws are broken? Do you decide? Does ICE decide? Does Donald Trump decide? It's not self righteous, it's very clear what your opinion is:
And it's clear you don't care, because your last sentence: "They are not entitled to the rights of a citizen.", shows that you have no clue what you are talking about. But that's normal... it's normal to not know, because you don't care at all. So yeah... don't call yourself a "patriot" or a "law abiding citizen" and never EVER pretend that the constitution matters to you. You just don't care. Embrace it.

In short, @saragoodtimes, I think your conclusions about medicaid are based on false data.

Big if true. But I can't find any evidence to support this claim, and both @Carla and I have found solid evidence that the OPPOSITE is true!A recent analysis by the American Hospital Association found that 96% of hospitals have 50% or more of their inpatient days paid by Medicare and Medicaid. Additionally, more than 82% of hospitals have 67% or more of their inpatient days paid by these two programs.

and see where he wants to cut.
I'm seeing where tRump IS cutting. He IS cutting vast amounts of medical research, STEM research, and disease monitoring. You may think it's wise to wait until diseases like Ebola and SARS arrive in the US before we start fighting them; I disagree totally.

@ElwoodBlues She is talking about doctors though... apperently there is a good number of doctors that refuse to take medicaid. At least I found a VOX article from 2021, that makes that claim. There is no percentage, and I haven no idea how that evolved over time.

Next to that... if the PhD. guy that I read a couple of days ago from Georgetown University is right, bigger institutions like hospitals have a bad track record as a whole, on abusing the system.
SOURCE: https://ccf.georgetown.edu/2025/01/10/the-truth-about-fraud-against-medicaid/
I'm not married to any of these ideas though... the only thing I do find strange, is that this administration complains alot of about waste, fraud and abuse... but doesn't seem to care to fund ANY of the institutions that are eligble to look into these matters. I don't see the IRS getting any backing for the fraud with taxes, I don't see the judiciairy branch getting any backing for the migrants, I've not seen the MFCU getting any backing (or mentioning) when it comes to this toppic. But anyone is free to proof me wrong.

@Kwek00 Its rather simple .. if they are here without proper documentation, by virtue of facts and our laws .. a law was broken. If they are guilty of other transgressions there is legal record for .. no decision needed beyond facts. If here a second time illegally .. its a felony. I will gladly accept the decisions of the govt agency personnel in charge of capturing and deporting them. Period.
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@BrandNewMan It's funny that you wrote all that stuff, and never answered my question. But that's okay, what do you care right?
I'll give you the answer though. In todays civilised society... a judge decides. It's the judge that passes judgement. Not you, not your president, not your legeslative branch... no, the judicial one. And in a civilised country, people have rights. I know you don't care about rights, but I do and citizens of their countries should care about rights. Because once someone starts loosing their rights, it's really easy to loose yours. But people like you, only start caring when your rights are being touched... but at that point, your executive branch won't care, and it's sad in my opinion, but people like you deserve it, maybe you'll start caring a bit more afterwards. Some people only learn the hard way and feel remorse, after they sinned.
