Cute story about an elderly couple I know. He is getting rather frail and she is deaf as a post unless she is wearing her hearing aids. He was downstairs when he realised he needed to use the washroom. He saw a spider running along the baseboard in the bathroom so he decided he would use some toilet paper to catch the spider then flush it down the toilet. Bending over to catch the spider was out of the question so he sat on the toilet and leaned over. He leaned a bit too far and gracelessly slid off the toilet ending up with his head kind of stuck under the sink and his legs wrapped around the toilet. He couldn't get up. He tried calling his wife but she didn't have her hearing aids in. When he didn't come up stairs for a bit she went looking for him. There he was stuck. Well she is a frail elderly lady and while he is frail he still weighs close to 200 lbs. She called 911 and was asked if she needed an ambulance. She said no. Just two strong men. The fire department arrived in a few minutes and had him back on his feet in short order. His moral of the story is "leave the spiders alone"
@Moneyonmymind there is no permanent fix to occasional invaders, bozo. It's about reducing their numbers. Lots of people would rather have eyesores instead of spiders crawling around
@Moneyonmymind "there's plenty of things you can do" after saying "you may need to call someone to get that fixed" lmao
Yeah presumably pest control who will do an exterior spray which isn't 100% nor is it permanent. It's almost as if you don't know what you're talking about
@deciblues here in the unitedkingdom they must be coming in from the cold as we have two in our living room one is massive . that one wascrawling up the curtain in the living room and my cat jess she had her eye on it if the chance comes her way lol
Spiders are one of the few things I do not care to have in my house at all well snakes are another you know the little packets of crystals that you get in your clothes and shoes and shipping boxes that keep the moisture out well you can take those grind them down into a light powder and put them along the crevices of doors and walls where you've seen the spiders when they walk through it it sticks to their belly it might sound a little cruel but it dries them out from the inside it draws all the moisture out of the spiders body in the end it kills them
