This is the year [b]2024.[/b] The world is in a crisis. 🌍 Here in the [b]US[/b] some believe that we are about to crash. For some these are the best of times, and for others these are the worst. I want to know are you better off [b] financially [/b] than you were a year ago. I am. Are you ? And are you comfortable being where you are right now concerning your own personal [b]finances.[/b] Best answer wins. ☺️

No, I am not better off, being retired and even with a 3% cost of living increase once a year to my retirement it has not kept up with Bidens 4.5% yearly inflation! I live on my farm in rural Ohio and inflation coupled with the wild out of control real estate prices has seen land values triple and the land taxes to rise yearly by $300 dollars or more just because of projected land values. It is getting stupidly crazy even in rural America. It is as if the elite are pushing prices higher and higher for everything including vehicles, homes, property, groceries Fuel, clothing everything to a point where aver to poor Americans stand to lose everything. As if they want to force you into a low-income type of apartment that has the same stupidly inflammatory rental costs as buying a home.
I live in an area with a lot of Amish, and they do mostly construction jobs, and I am friends with a few of the Amish families. I learned two days ago that the building a repair industry the Amish do has slowed to nearly a standstill and folks that can afford to build or repair are not doing so deciding to sit back and wait to see if things will keep getting out of control cost wise. The Amish lumber mills, loggers, and furniture and cabinetmakers are slowed greatly in production and demand as well.
These are my personal examples of why I am worse off after these past 3.5 O'Biden years.
