There is always a gap between the theory and practice of most people's politics though.
The centre-left supports the actual (corporate liberal) centre-right because its 'electable' and social democrats have low expectations.
Libertarians support the war on Gaza because of reasons.
People who think they are pro-free speech defend bigotry but ignore actual political censorship.

@samueltyler2 Oh, trust me, they’re not tired of being racists. But they sure don’t want to be called on it.

@GlitterEater I just looked that up and it is awesome!

I feel like there is another name for that...."pro-choosing" maybe? "Pro-decision?" It's on the tip of my tongue.

@BlueGreenGrey actually they would be better termed as anti-abortion. Pro Life should encourage support for children, not restriction of Medicaid, not opposed to supplemental food.
BlueVeins · 22-25
Honestly, I'll take it.
bijouxbroussard · F
If they truly believe that, they’re actually pro-choice, so there’s no problem. A lot of women who wouldn’t choose abortion for themselves still believe in it being an available choice for other women.

Desperate for votes so they lose their previously held principles

That's a democrat 😂

No.

They don’t even know what they want
Elessar · 26-30, M
@iamonfire696 The ones who can afford that are a minority within the electorate. They need the votes of the (many) poor ones too. It's those that they're losing.
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
@Elessar the poor ones are too unintelligent to understand what they are actually voting for and that is sad.

I’m still waiting for that second half, which would mean these new draconian anti-abortion laws wouldn’t keep popping up.
