How are american people to you?

Varied.
I see variations by state of origin and state of choice,
inner city / suburban / rural / remote
social background, level of education and work-life
beliefs and values
talents, skills, tastes and interests
ability, age, gender, orientation and identity
family, friends and social connectedness
style of humour and attitude.

I see a country were commerce, materialism and appearances often seem to outweigh
health, empathy, cooperation, peace & happiness.

I see an incredibly powerful split; the[c=359E00] liberal/leftwing/progressive [/c]versus the [c=4C0073]conservative/rightwing[/c].
The intensity of hostility and intolerance bothers me. If not reversed it could lead to the end of democracy in the USA.

Of course - I could be mistaken because I can only see the US at a distance, through sites like this, news broadcasts and cultural productions.
