Do you walk barefoot indoors? Or do you wear socks? Or do you walk all over your house with your dirty shoes?
Do you plop your shoes on the couch? Or the bed? Are your guests allowed to come in with their shoes on? Or do you require them to leave their shoes outside?
Do you sleep barefoot? Or do you sleep with your socks on?
No wearing of shoes in my house! No exceptions!!! And I really dont care if you have socks on or not. Thats up to you. I've worked extremely hard on these floors and I actually like the rugs I've painstakingly picked out for this place.
As soon as I get home my shoes are off (and socks if I'm wearing them, which is rare as I hate them). I'm barefoot everywhere in the house and usually go into the garden barefoot at least once a day no matter the weather as a grounding exercise. I sleep barefoot, usually with my feet out of the covers because I hate the covers touching my legs. I take my shoes off at other peoples houses and I even kick them off under the desk at work. It doesn't bother me what my guests do. I'm happy for them to leave their shoes on if they prefer. After all, I'm barefoot because I'm comfortable that way. I don't want them to be uncomfortable.
I keep slippers on a shelf by the door and put them on when I come in. I don’t have a problem with friends wearing shoes inside, though there is mat that they wipe their feet on before coming in. I sleep barefoot most of the time, during winter if it gets very cold I may wear socks, but that’s rare.
