As soon as I get home my shoes are off (and socks if I'm wearing them, which is rare as I hate them). I'm barefoot everywhere in the house and usually go into the garden barefoot at least once a day no matter the weather as a grounding exercise.
I sleep barefoot, usually with my feet out of the covers because I hate the covers touching my legs.
I take my shoes off at other peoples houses and I even kick them off under the desk at work.
It doesn't bother me what my guests do. I'm happy for them to leave their shoes on if they prefer. After all, I'm barefoot because I'm comfortable that way. I don't want them to be uncomfortable.
