Why Does God Need Money?

I've just received another begging circular from the local christians scrounging donations to repair their clubhouse (church) - which they like to call "God's House". Their god is said to have created the entire universe and everything in it, out of nothing, in just 6 days. Why can't it do a few simple home repairs itself?

God doesn't need money, it's up to his flock to take care of themselves

@Jackaloftheazuresand That's what followers of other gods do. The local Muslims, for example, never scrounge off the general public like the christians do.

@Lynda70 They don't need to. They run their temples like banks. Their temples lend money and take kickbacks from it.

@Lynda70 Maybe your locals do that but I get ads about building mosques and asking for donations quite a bit

@Jackaloftheazuresand I've never had any requests for donations to a Mosque, maybe there are enough Muslims there to fund it themselves. The local christians seem to always be on the scrounge for money or holding various money making events.
