Why do the memories have to last forever, why can't the moments themselves last forever?

Hold on tight to the memory. How you felt, where you were, who was with you. Feelings, taste, smells.

In the end it’s all we have. It’s more than some others have.

If moments lasted forever then no one would be able to understand the magic of memories.
