Would you think it was weird if..

Yes, weirdo! Don’t do it and make a fool of yourself!
Yes, but whatever makes you happy I guess.
Maybe.. some people would probably think you’re weird.
No, people would stare but don’t worry about them!
No, they’re just pants and no one would even care!

you saw a girl out in public shopping, walking, etc doing their thing, wearing snowpants as regular pants?? The snow is gone where I am now and it’s still chilly sometimes, but it’s warm enough to go out in jeans and a t-shirt and light jacket/cardigan. I’m someone who happens to enjoy wearing a pair of snowpants for the warmth, but also I have a sensory processing disorder and snowpants material feels nice to me because of the way it glides and swishes, rough textured pants bother me a bit.
A go-to outfit of mine is wearing a pair of high-waisted pants (I love the high waisted look) with a tshirt tucked into my pants and cardigan overtop. If I put snowpants overtop of my pants, would you think it was super weird??

It would make me look twice, but ultimately I just wouldn't give a shit. Hope you feel comfortable, but aren't you a touch worried about hyperthermia?
SnowGirl · 26-30, F
@BlueVeins Thank you, you guys are mostly really helping me feel at ease about wanting to do this. I think I will!

It’s still chilly enough here to wear a jacket so basically I’m kinda just planning on wearing my jacket on my legs instead of my body, lol.
In the summer I almost always wear pants, I don’t spend much time outside of air conditioned buildings at all so I wouldn’t think I’d get too uncomfortable even on warmer days with snowpants over my pants and a tshirt tucked in.

I'm pretty sure I'd hear you before I saw you. Once I did find the source of the strange noise, I'd relate it to myself. How I would roast if I did the same. I'd find it weird but you're not me, so if it makes you happy, cool. It doesn't change my life, we'll never see each other again.
You're not making a fool of yourself, you're finding what makes you comfortable while living.

I used to be extremely self-conscious. As time has gone on, I realize that most people are fixated on themselves and really don't care what others are doing. You do you. If you want to wear snowpants, wear snowpants.
NotJamieM · 46-50, M
Not really, everyone wears what is most comfortable to them. Now, if you were wearing snow pants on a beach on an 80 degree day... Lol
SnowGirl · 26-30, F
@NotJamieM lol, fair, I wouldn’t wear them to the beach!!! 😂 I prefer my legs being covered, but I don’t mind shorts, so on crazy hot/beach days I’ll just wear or a swimsuit of course lol. Really I just can’t stand the feeling of pants rubbing between my thighs, and snowpants make it totally better. I do have a couple pairs of swishy/windpants, but I still like the feeling fabric-y pants material on my skin lol (I know, I’m so specific) so I still prefer snowpants
NotJamieM · 46-50, M
@SnowGirl haha I didn't figure you'd actually do that lol. I have seen girls wearing yoga pants or those flannel pajama bottoms things walking along the beach, until they get to their spot. But I know what you mean, if I'm somewhere I have to wear pants, I'd much prefer cotton shorts or sweatpants to jeans haha.

Today ,here, yes strange ( it’s over80 today) but it’s not me wearing them so it’s really up to whoever to decide what they want to wear.

In winter I’ve always worn snow pants over jeans . Then when I get inside where I’m going i just remove the snow pants 👍
smileylovesgaming · 31-35, F
I knew a girl that wore shorts in the middle of winter. I even knew a guy that wore flipflops in winter.
SnowGirl · 26-30, F
@smileylovesgaming Honestly that’s a good point, I guess people dress unseasonably all the time! I’m just doing it the other way around. lol
You live in Alberta? Snow is expected in May
