Tasmania in the 60's and 70's was primary School, years 1 through 6, High School was 7 through 10. That was me.
Went into 4 years Apprenticeship in the Fitting and Machining Trade.
Lasted 20 years in the Trade. 10 years in a underground Copper Mine on the West Coast of Tasmania.
whats an underground copper mine like??

Also I got a bachelors in psychology with no plans to get a masters, now it would have to be fee free and I would have to live to be 100
@Gusman Does the stuff fall on your head?
Gusman · 61-69, M
@Elevatorpitches Sometimes it does.
There are many instances around the world where rock falls trap/kill miners.
A major hazard with underground mines. Usually happens when machinery is working on newly dug/blasted areas.
The mine I worked in is closed down now because of miners being killed through a mud slide.
@Gusman sounds like job worthy of a Harrison Ford fantasy adventure movie

Left school at 15 as there was no money for me to get a higher education. But I've studied since then and are happy with what I've achieved.
Tradesman X2

I’m good for the rest of my life.

4 year degree. Increasing job experience at higher levels. I may get some additional certificates but I don't expect to go back to college to earn a degree.
Post-grad.
Started an MA in education, and looks like I'm going back to it as I can't further my career without it.
