Giving up on something can turn out to be the right call in certain situations. If you're hemorrhaging money at poker, it might be time to cut your losses and fold. But there are other venues and opportunities out there.
I think the goal shouldn't be to quit trying altogether, but just to quit trying at things you're not succeeding at. You've made it this far in life because you've got things you're good at, you maintain an online presence because you get enough positive feedback to reward your efforts, and you got friends and followers because certain people have liked what they've seen.
The point is that everyone has some value, and it's in our failures that we learn to regroup and find another avenue for that value. Some things aren't meant for everybody, but it's a big world and there's enough space to find something that works for you
