This WW2 American Tank had two nicknames- can you name them ?

@TexChik Ah it was the soviets that ran on diesel. The Tigers ran on petrol but ended up having to run on synthetic biofuel because gasoline was in short supply

@TexChik Nope.Definately gas.In the battle of the bulge German forces even tried to capture U.S. fuel depots of gasoline to keep their tanks going.They failed.

Ammo is carried inside the tank next to the crew so when the tank caught fire it was the next thing to blow... 50 cal machine gun and 76mm main gun ammo... Makes for a bad day @Dlrannie

@Barefooter25 Only the later models and the upgraded British variant.The earlier versions had poor firepower.

@tallpowerhouseblonde During the invasion of France, many of them had trouble getting through the hedges in the farm backfields. Hedge trimmers were installed underneath the tanks in order for them to get through.
