I feel guilty about taking a day off even though I work 11-12 hours daily. Do you feel like this as well??

There was a time when I did but I learned the work never goes away and the more you do the more is expected of you.

@Keepitsimple Amen. I used to feel such responsibility at work. I switched to a different job that allows me more freedom. I got older and I just wised up.

@REMsleep Exactly. My work ethic is just fine, I toned it down so I wasn’t stressing and I could leave work for others and be a team player 😉

I used to feel guilty but not recently. I think I've finally been ground down that I can easily not care.

I'd feel bad for the other carers if a replacement cannot be found. Management? doesn't give a f🦆

No I don't. I live in a country where overworking and working yourself to death is seen as a good thing BUT I am not a citizen of the country I was born and live in so I don't have this very harmful opinion. I'm NOT going to injure or kill myself for a job that my replacement will resume within hours of my hospitalization or death!!

{@dovev] goodnessm e why the guilt you put the hours in so you are entitled to a break . all work and no play makes jack a dull boy just think on that one .it will help ease any guilty conscience of over what you are doing

I work long hours too but fortunately I love it. Completely.

I’ve been sent off duty because Ive clocked in sick and been reported by w concerned coworker.

Yeah. But sometimes you have to trust people around you to pick up some slack. Or just know what you’re in for when you get back.

I don't...I am a hard worker and we all need a break ..it's not healthy to do nothing but work all the time

I used to. Then I reached a point of wanting more of my time to be spent for my actual life instead of work.

It’s not healthy to feel like you can’t take time off.

I used to. Until I started to understand I was a robot.

Yeah, a day of doing nothing is pretty rare for me. I’m not sure I’d call it feeling guilty so much . For me it’s more like to the anxious awareness I've walked away from the stove and several things are near burning.

I used to and it was stupid. You have one life to live. Live it
