Interesting stuff! Reminds me of Hobo Art, which came into being during the Great Depression.

@4meAndyou huh, I’ve never heard of Hobo Art but I can believe it was a mush-mash of items cobbled together. Thanks for sharing

@CantExplain Hobo's at that time would take anything they could find that was free...(usually match sticks), and create beautiful things with them.

However, the art you displayed also contains elements that remind me of Steampunk art.

@4meAndyou such intricate match stick art; quite amazing! I can see why you think of Steampunk art. A lot of the items in the Grasroot Museum integrated tractor and farm implements pieces.: gardeofedunlucas.org

@CantExplain We have seen an artist in Provincetown, Massachusetts, similar to the first piece with the lobster bits, quite a large display on his lawn...but all made of salvage and welded metal.

@CantExplain That website is amazing. The P-town artist had best hide his head in shame!

@4meAndyou glad you checked out the website. It’s something else! It fascinates me the way people use scraps, creativity and their imagination to make their creations 😉

@CantExplain I made a stained glass lampshade and lamp once, entirely from "found" pieces!
