@DearAmbellina2113 I remember seeing about two inches of snow in Big Spring back when I was stationed there in the 70s. People were stunned!

@Kwek00 yes but that is rare. And when it snows in Texas, people lose their water/power because this state isn't set up for cold weather. So it ends up being miserable.

Snow in a northern state (where they are set up for it) is lovely.

@Stereoguy seems like just about everyone in this neighborhood has gotten or is getting a new roof since May…still hear them working on neighbors roofs…two damaging hail storms one in May and the second in October. Some people in other parts of the city including businesses have yet to repair their vinyl siding peppered with holes in it.

@Stereoguy In one year period we had a record-setting early and record-damaging ice storm with power outages in October, a snow storm with record cold and power-outages in mid-Febuary, a record-setting damaging hail storm in May in this city, and another damaging hailstorm in early October. This is why insurance rates are so damn high in Oklahoma. Keeps the roofers, siding people, house painters, auto glass repairmen, auto body shops, tree trimmers, Home Depot & Lowes and others really busy and making money for them.
