Soup is good for snowy days. I made veggie beef soup last night for dinner and it’s so good, enough for tonight too.

@cherokeepatti sounds yummy. I like soup better the next day

@Sunnykel76 You know I do too. Probably cause I can reheat it and eat it when I’m hungry. It took me a couple hours to make that soup, had to cut the roast up into tiny pieces and fry it with chopped onion and garlic and cook it with beef broth and chop up the other veggies while it was simmering.

@cherokeepatti it is an undertaking. Thats why its good to make a big pot so you can eat it for awhile. I freeze it too sometimes.

@Sunnykel76 I’m retired so I have all afternoon to make soups. I think that’s why I enjoy making them so much. When I was still working and it came in cold weather at work I would be thinking “soup” all day long and make it when I got home. That’s another reason I like soup so much, getting chilled to the bone does that.
@cherokeepatti bought a ham which initially was $18, but was going for $7. Bought it and a few pkgs of green split peas. Will be doing up some peas soup and ham!
