Why are American men so immature? You can't engage in conversation with an American male without hearing some joke. They all want to be comedians.

@smiler2012 True, however, comic relief is not always required nor is it always appropriate. Particularly when there are urgent matters at hand. We have less intellects today than we had 50 years ago because most American men opt to be clowns instead of innovators.

@TheArbitrator Just maybe, that's a wee bit over-generalized; albeit in a quite specific way :). Quite a stretch from 'comic relief is not always required' to 'They all want to be comedians'. Are you not, yourself, an American male?
