Why don’t people say where they’re from on SW?

I am from the US. Sometimes my country does things that I am ashamed of, but I am still American. Knowing where you’re from makes it easier for others in the SW family to communicate with you… to know what additional information you may require, and what time zone you may be in. I am simply referring to the fact that it’s not listed on many profiles. Most people will tell you if you ask.

You'll come across at least once a day someone asking, where you're from? What time zone you're in etc etc. I think you'd find that info if you visit their profile. Besides, most Americans only want to chat with Americans on this site.

I agree with most but the last statement.Not necessarily. Some maybe but some just like to chat and if they can come up with something in common the chat can go on for a long time and learn a lot about other places in the process.@Thevy29

@Jill1990 you maybe an exception. But in general people people prefer own race. When nationality not mentioned, atleast they take interest to ask or share opinion.

@Thevy29 I’m sitting here freezing. It’s actually about 17c here but the air is very dry and windy. Leaves are getting deep and I have lots of yard work to do. It will be freezing here soon.

@Jill1990 Northern Hemisphere huh? It was 30C here today. So I walked all the way along the beach...

I say all the way, I turned around when I got to the point at the end there. Partly because I was barefoot and needed shoes from that point on but mostly because there is an unclad beach on that side.

@Jill1990 I also love talking to people all over the world. That is a wonderful advance we have made the last few years!! I even do yoga and tantra with people on the other side of the world!
