@Jamesy Her family was new to the small town where he lived. He saw her walking down the street and asked his best friend's father who she was. Mr. DeLoach told him her name and where she lived. He stopped by her house and introduced himself. He was 22 and she was 18 or 19. Her father considered her too young to date, but my dad managed to convince her parents to let her go to church functions.
