My parents met at a dance in the early 1960's in Saint John, New Brunswick. He had only emmigrated to Canada a couple of years earlier and my mother said he was the best dancer she'd ever met

Their friends set them up. My mom was only 16 and he was nine years older and already married but she didn't know that. He was a dirty dog.

Yes. I got my father to write his memoirs, and he told about meeting my mother.

I don't know exactly but it would have been some farming event probably, coz my father was a farmer and my mother was a farmer's daughter. I know she knew of him, before they met, coz she said that he was considered " quite a catch".

They met on a double date, in a small town in Kentucky. Their dates were not each other, and their romance didn't begin right away. My father joined the Navy not long after, and they'd see each other when he was home on leave.
