If you could time travel where would you go?

For me, I think I’d fancy a trip to Rome about 2000 yrs ago - see just how different the world was 😊

Back to the Garden of Eden and I'll stop Eve from eating that apple.

Long live Bill & Ted
Claire2k · 22-25, F
I’ve never seen that film but it sounds kinda funny 😆 @SethGreene531
@Claire2k Oh really, well then you definitely need to check it out.😄
Made in 1989, it's a bit goofy in places but overall a good time. It's a time travel movie.
Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure --that's the original one you want.

I'm thinking 1975 Chicago.
Claire2k · 22-25, F
That could be cool - how about prohibition era Chicago!? @SubstantialKick
Back to San Francisco in the 60s…but much younger than I am now.
Claire2k · 22-25, F
Cant be too bad if you were there in the 60’s- some people on here would choose that location in time over anything else - if you’ve actually been there - that’s pretty amazing!! 😎👍@bijouxbroussard
@Claire2k It was a very interesting time, but I was still a kid. I had a teenage cousin who lived with us and wondered what things were like from her perspective.

@bijouxbroussard Be sure to put some flowers in your hair.
Kumbayakid · 61-69, M
I’d return to june 28, 1914, Sarajevo, and prevent the killing of Archduke Ferdinand. No WWI. 20,000,000 lives saved.
Claire2k · 22-25, F
With all the issues going on at that time, you’d have delayed it, but something else would have happened to cause WW1 - the underlying issues would still be there and they wouldn’t have the benefit of hindsight- I like your thinking though! @Kumbayakid
Kumbayakid · 61-69, M
@Claire2k perhaps, but perhaps not. I’d like to believe that cooler heads might have prevailed absent that event.
Claire2k · 22-25, F
You’d hope so wouldn’t you!! @Kumbayakid
NotJamieM · 46-50, M
Probably medieval times. Just not in the middle of some battle, lol.
NotJamieM · 46-50, M
@Claire2k I'm pretty sure there's a learning curve to using a broadsword or a spear! Though I did have a crossbow as a teen,
so perhaps could be one of those guys. From a safe distance, lol.
Claire2k · 22-25, F
Haha - I’m not sure the captains or generals allow people to operate from a safe distance!! I think they’d want you to get stuck in!! Can you imagine trying to get the hang of various weapons and at the same time trying to ensure you don’t have a leg chopped off!!!! 😖@NotJamieM
NotJamieM · 46-50, M
@Claire2k not to mention wearing cumbersome armor and possible riding a horse, which I've done all of once in my life. (Riding horse, not wearing armor...)
ImRileyTheDog · 22-25, F
Lots of different time periods honestly

I think the 60s could be interesting
@ImRileyTheDog It was. 😄
Claire2k · 22-25, F
Definitely- which country would you like to visit in the 60’s? 🤔@ImRileyTheDog
Kumbayakid · 61-69, M
@ImRileyTheDog I don’t think you’d find it that different honestly
Back to when I was born. I'd do a lot of things differently if I had the knowledge I have now.
Claire2k · 22-25, F
Utilising a little life experience huh! 😊👍@DropTopDig
@Claire2k For sure!
Claire2k · 22-25, F
I guess, regardless of your age it’s never to late to change and do some things differently? You can save on the time travel and just apply the logic here and now? 😎@DropTopDig
Mugin16 · 46-50, M
That would have been interesting for sure.
Mugin16 · 46-50, M
@Claire2k Not sure. There are too many interesting historical periods. Maybe I would go on one of the discovery voyages with Colombus or Vasco da Gama. Or exploring the American West with Lewis and Clarke.
Claire2k · 22-25, F
I’m guessing the trips on the ships wouldn’t have been too pleasant!! All those rats & disintry etc! @Mugin16
Mugin16 · 46-50, M
@Claire2k Yes, no women. And scorbut - but with my knowledge - the ships could have taken lots of fruits and especially lemons onboard and this evil desease could have been staved off. The sailors would probably celebrate me as a hero - or at least a wise man!
RoxClymer · 41-45, M
forward about 200 yrs
then 500, to
see how different things get
Claire2k · 22-25, F
Nice one - so you’d go forward rather than backwards - I like that! 😎👍@RoxClymer
Library of Alexandria.
@Claire2k Destroyed by arson. Sucks.
Claire2k · 22-25, F
Yeah so many people through time are hell bent on destroying knowledge @LittleBlueAngelBoy

@Mugin16 Yes. I wasn't there. 😆
