What is the problem with American women? Why do so many want to be social media models, show their butts and be independent and unattached from a man?

I personally don't see anything wrong with the above and it technically isn't hurting anyone.
Personally, I wish I had the courage to show or share parts of my life online. Also what's wrong with
being unattached from a man?

To answer your question though, I think it might be due to how influencer lifestyles are overglorfied.
I don't think it's just an American thing too. It happens across the world to varying degrees. It isn't unlike someone wanting to become famous to live a certain lifestyle. The problem is, they tend to ignore or not be aware of the other negative aspects that come with it.

Cause it’s fun, duh. (Also not a problem!)

Massive self esteem issues

For part of an answer, that's the current trend. Be an idol to strangers across the world! It's like being a celebrity, but easier. Of course, the vast majority fail, but the dream still lives.

As for independence, some can pull it off quite well. Others that try crash and burn. Those that succeed realize that you need to be willing to put in the hours to make it work.

They want to be successful, and for some that has been pushed as the idea of successful.

Not saying I agree or disagree, it just is... that being said, I think it's fair to say on average men are probably a bigger problem than the women.

It is not a problem. The problem is when a woman is dependent on a man who mistreats her.

Mostly because we can, without having to worry about being tortured or killed.
