I personally don't see anything wrong with the above and it technically isn't hurting anyone.
Personally, I wish I had the courage to show or share parts of my life online. Also what's wrong with
being unattached from a man?
To answer your question though, I think it might be due to how influencer lifestyles are overglorfied.
I don't think it's just an American thing too. It happens across the world to varying degrees. It isn't unlike someone wanting to become famous to live a certain lifestyle. The problem is, they tend to ignore or not be aware of the other negative aspects that come with it.
