If being tested on animals bother them so much what about flu vaccines that have egg in them? And what about HEK cells from aborted fetuses in those vaccines?
@cherokeepatti That brings up a good point, WHY do pesky insects enjoy getting in peoples' faces?
And with the mask debate in general - sometimes at work I am GLAD to have one because we have this one guy that smells like a cologne factory. When I see him approach I make SURE my mask is properly in place!
Fumes from his cologne are so thick it is like this cloud trailing behind him.
@CestManan Live on a farm and you’ll encounter a lot of flies. My aunt inhaled a fly when we were walking back to the house from the milk barn. She was talking as were walking and it flew up to her mouth and she was startled and gasped and swallowed it. I was 3 years old and told it to our guests while they were playing cards and she denied it.
@CestManan no I waited till company came and did it…she denied it happened and I kept saying “yes you did swallow a fly and I saw it”….😂….so much honesty…
@cherokeepatti @CestManan There are actually types of flu vaccines approved for use that do not contain eggs. But really, that's not even the point. It seems to me that any time the subject of veganism is brought up, people ignore the big and very obvious problems of the meat and dairy industry and start talking about worms that die in the soil and how a type of vaccine contains eggs. Are you trying to tell us that because some vaccines contain eggs and some worms happen to die in the soil, it is okay to slaughter animals and steal milk from baby cows? Because I don't see how the two are connected. Vegans live on a plant based diet in an attempt to protect animals, reduce their carbon footprint, and protect their own health. It was never claimed to be a perfect system that will solve every problem in the world and will protect every single kind and every living creature, but at least we are trying. Just because ((inevitably)) animals are exploited one way or another in the process, just like humans are ALSO((inevitably)) exploited one way or another in process of producing the products that we consume, it doesn't change anything about the reasons why some people have chosen to go vegan despite the fact that they LOVED the taste of meat and cheese. I guess some people just look at the bigger picture, and value life and the environment above their taste. I hardly ever argue veganism whether online or in real life, but I find it funny how people focus the light on the exceptions and ignore the obvious clear issues.
@cherokeepatti I am not lecturing anyone. Everyone has the right to choose what they put in their body, and it doesn't make people bad. I was just responding to your comment.
