do you know what's excruciatingly sad and hard to swallow

the fact that we barely had any books in our house when I was growing up

@Thevy29 I still love libraries even now 💜

@BalmyNites My local sucks for choice unless they order in the titles I'm interested in. As it stands, I've read all the classics and Sci-fi, young adult, books they got.

@Thevy29 Do you have Amazon? The book deals are amazing 💜

@BalmyNites Yes. I buy my books from there often.

I have a kindle and I know it would be cheaper getting all the books on that. But its not the same as having a real book in your hands. Plus you can loan a book to a friend of family member and read another yourself. With only one kindle device you cannot do that.

@Thevy29 Ahh, I SO get that - I’ve a Kindle & never used it, not even once! 💜

I must admit, I’m quite precious about my books now & don’t like lending them out, because people just don’t take care of them

I can sell my study books as ‘New’, because you’d never be able to tell that a page had been read - yet the last book I lent to a ‘friend’ came back with coffee stains where she’d rested her mug & a broken spine, where the book had been folded back on itself 😐

@BalmyNites I know people who don't take care of books, its shameful behaviour. I wont even dog ear the pages of my books.

@Thevy29 Ahh I so agree - I’ve still my books from childhood 💜
