I believe Joe Biden and the rest of the world should be ashamed of themselves, the Afghan/Taliban situation is a total cluster fuck

Shame on America and her Allies
Nimbus · M
@nedkelly Indeed.
The UK is avoiding the flak by also blaming Biden, lol

@nedkelly We had been there nearly 20 years and spent over $2 trillion. And the lives for about 3 thousand of our soldiers. How much more were we supposed to give?

We gave the Afghans everything they could need to form a government and a national army to fight the Taliban. But they were totally corrupt and incompetent. The fact is they did not want the U.S. or any western power there. Enough.

@badminton So you approve of abandoning the country, in the middle of the night, leaving behind millions in military equipment and 10,000 American citizens, eh? Sad
Baremine · 70-79, C
@Nimbus it is dumb ass Biden.
Baremine · 70-79, C
@badminton we could have melted the country down.

@sunsporter1649 How many more years, lives of our soldiers and $billions are we willing to spend? The Afghans had every opportunity with nearly 20 years of American aid to establish an army and stable government to counter the Taliban. Instead they stole the money and equipment we sent. Enough. Let the United Nations handle it.

@badminton So you approve of abandoning the country, in the middle of the night, leaving behind millions in military equipment and 10,000 American citizens, eh? But what else could anyone expect out of the inept "leadership" displayed these past 6 months

@nedkelly The ideology /culture of the Taliban and similar groups should be wiped off the face of the earth, as quickly and aggressively as possible without prejudice. Total extreme annihilation and erasure like Mussolini and Hitler's bunch.

@sunsporter1649 After nearly 20 years is not the middle of the night. We couldn't stay forever. Many U.S. advisors left in disgust after seeing the total corruption by the Afghans we were supposed to be helping. U.S. attempts to create a national army were a total failure. There comes a time to say This Is Not Working. the United Nations should be be there, not U.S. military forces.

I am grateful to President Biden for saving the lives of more American soldiers, and ending the waste of our tax dollars. Money that should be used for our own urgent domestic needs.

For Gods sake let's learn from this debacle: NO MORE OCCUPATIONS ANYWHERE, NO MORE NATION BUILDING.
Baremine · 70-79, C
@badminton I have mixed emotions to your comment. We probably shouldn't have been there. The united nations is a bad idea as they don't think right. And as far as Biden saving money to be used domestically that will never happen under progressive leadership. They will always send our taxpayers out of our country. They could care less about us.
badminton · 61-69, MVIP
@Baremine President Biden has a program of investment in our dilapidated infrastructure and fighting global warming. These programs are urgently needed and will create good paying jobs for Americans. I entirely approve.
Baremine · 70-79, C
@badminton if all the money was spent on infrastructure no one would complain. It's all the money on stupid programs, black lives matter, Antifa, transgender education that needs to go away. Climate change is certainly questionable at the best.
