I'd ask for a brief moment of peace.....

My dad has been told today that his cancer treatment isn't working at all. They're running out of options and barring any clinical trials, he may put on palliative care. My mother is devastated, naturally, but she's being stronger than most could be.

I know that it doesn't mean much, in a world where we are constantly told to fight over our differences, but some people are left fighting for their lives. Let's take some time and gather the strength to be accepting, forgiving, and always remember to not let our expectations outgrow our gratitude.
