I'm very confused

about myself. Someone told me to just be myself (i appreciate the help) which would be great advice if i knew who or what i am. I was thinking about it and i don't truly have a personality, i tend to take on the personality of the person i am talking to at the time. I don't know who i am, hell i'm 55 years old and i still don't know what i want to be when i grow up! LOL I remember that assignment from grade school, i had to write an essay about what i want to be when i grow up...i failed.

Didn't we all fail that assignment though?

I'm pretty sure none of the other kids grew up to be rock stars, hockey legends or princesses either 😉

@Montanaman I wanted to be one of those girls who jumps out of cakes in a bikini.

I still remember one of the nuns saying she'd pray for my salvation 😅

I can sort of relate even though I know what I want to do, but I easily start acting the same as the people I hang out with. x

As unpleasant as it sounds the cure is solitude. It is in solitude we learn the most about ourselves.
@curiosi I have spent the last 27 years pretty much alone. I drive a truck and spend 3-4 weeks at a time away from home, i don't socialize when i'm on the road. All that being alone has accomplished is giving myself too much time to think and internalize.

Right there with you, I gave up on growing up LOL. I have so many conflicting thoughts, feelings, that I just wander.

Maybe you should revisit that assignment.
