Hmm, I'd give Metro 2033 by Dmitry Glukhovsky a try. It's a very engaging post-apocalyptic adventure novel. It tackles rather ''heavy'' things like human nature and such, so it probably won't be a very fun one to read, but definitely really interesting!
And if you enjoyed The Hobbit, then perhaps the series of books called the ''Inheritance Cycle'' would interest you too (if you haven't read them already, of course)? I heard that they're absolutely excellent and quite similar to the works of Tolkien.
